We pick up with our adventurers awakening in the dungeon after a nice rest. Othello finally opens the last chest and the group devour the contents. Examining the map of the dungeon created by Hamamr, the party decides to finally go down the spiral staircase.<\/span><\/p>\n

Othello drops a lighted coin and it disappears into the darkness. There is a slight drumming that Cloverdung can hear originating from that direction. The group goes down the stairs and after about 30 feet, enter into a large chamber.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are huge stone columns holding the ceiling and there are pews built out of stone, arranged in the chamber like a large church. The pews are filled with followers watching the other end of the room. At the far end of the room can be seen a large shimmering doorway that appears to have something on the other side trying to get through. There is a priest standing in front of the simmering doorway chanting away. He looks like the guy that escaped the party a few adventures ago. There are also some acolytes and bodyguards.<\/span><\/p>\n

Gubikla decides to casta fireball on one side of the pews, engulfing and destroying many people, just attending their church. Trying to get some religion. Even if it is cultist. And they are tryign to summon a demon. Othello sneaks off to one side. Cloverdung attacks and kills one of the acolytes beating on a drum. Hammar advances towards a group of followers. Our friend, still with us, shoots an arrow at a couple of followers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Now that the cultist know we are hear, Gubikla fires a second fireball on the other side of the pews. Destroying that half. Clvoerdung and Othello take care of a couple of acolytes. Hammar smashes a follower with his hammer. The priest keeps chanting and now there is a tentacle coming out of the shimmering doorway. Gubikla decides to take out the priest with his last fireball. Blam! A couple of acolytes are fried, but the priest lives and keeps chanting. Bringing out another tentacle of some foul beast. Cloverdung misses the priest with his arrows and now Othello is figting a bodyguard. The bodyguard turns into a miniature octopuss head demon thing and tries to poison Othello. The other octopuss head demon thing attacks Hammar.<\/span><\/p>\n

The fighting shifts from the priest to the bodyguards, while more tentacle come out of the shimmering doorway. The bodyguards and last followers are finally destroyed when then demon steps out of the shimmering doorway. Unfortuantely for the priest, the demon sees him, picks him up, and starts to eat him. Gubikla attacks the demon with a lightning bolt. The electrical bolt shatters the bottom half of the priest in the mouth of the demon and the demon itself disappears. Returning to its own world.<\/span><\/p>\n

The party begins looting the bodies. Hamamr decides to cast speak with dead to see if he can get some information about what was going on down here. Hammar will get 5 questions before the spell ends.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hammar: Who is your leader?<\/span>
\n Dead body: That guy you killed.<\/span>
\n Hammar: How do the drums work?<\/span>
\n Dead guy: you beat them.<\/span>
\n Hamamr: What do the drums do?<\/span>
\n Dead guy: Call a demon.<\/span>
\n Hammar: Where is your treasure?<\/span>
\n Dead body: In chests.<\/span>
\n Hammar: Was that four quetions?<\/span>
\n Dead body: Yes<\/span><\/p>\n

DOH!!!!<\/span><\/p>\n

With nothing left to kill, the party starts rounding up bodies to return to the Bailiff for reward as being cultist killed. They even grab heads from the village people that wandered down here searching for cultist, as well as heads from the corpses in the cooler.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Bailiff pays the party and they head back to their inn to rest and decide what to go do next.<\/span><\/p>\n
