The group awoke in the lower chamber to find the rope that lead up to the cavern missing and a grinding like someone or something was pushing the stone lid with the ring in it back into the shaft to close off the chamber from the cavern above.<\/p>\n
Othello realizing this and shoots a crossbow bolt up to the top of the shaft\/passageway and teleports to where his crossbow bolt was and tried to use his grappling hook to latch on to the ledge.\u00a0 While Othello appeared out of no were at the top of the passageway he saw a several ghouls that are trying to close the top of the passage way.\u00a0 The ghouls swipe at Othello and one leaped at him but missed him as he was still following the arc upward that his crossbow bolt was taking.\u00a0 This ghoul fell down the hole and the ghouls must have startled Othello as he totally missed his grapple and fell back down the hole\/passageway just above the now falling ghoul.<\/p>\n
Hammer sees the falling ghoul and as it hits the ground in front of him, slams his hammer into the ghoul. \u00a0squashing the now dead ghoul between the floor and his hammer.\u00a0 Gubikla cast grease on Hammers head as Othello falls and does a hand spring off of Hammer’s back.\u00a0 Making Hammer do a face plant into the ghoul.<\/p>\n
Now that the group is cut off from the way into the area.\u00a0 All it is left is to research the rooms\/traps and passageways.\u00a0 After a long exhaustive search.\u00a0 Hammer determines that it is only a couple of feet of stone to another camber above the cannonball trap ammo chamber.\u00a0 It is also determined that the acid pool is no longer acid and contains some water like liquid.\u00a0 Othello determined that it was not dangerous but throwing a copper coin in, and then a lighted copper coin, and then finally dipped his foot in, after Gubikla cast spider clime on him to search the downward slopping passageway that lead to what was the acid pit.\u00a0 The water in the pit is about 12 feet deep.<\/p>\n
Bone gets fed up with arguing of who would swim to the bottom and goes in and finds a button at the bottom that with a little force was able to activate and it opened the bottom of the pit in an iris type door.\u00a0 The water and Bone fall about 30 feet to another camber.\u00a0 The water gets whisked away by grooves in the floor that lead to small holes in the wall.\u00a0 Bone yells up that he is fine and would catch people as they come down.\u00a0 Othello takes him at his word and slides down and Bone in fact catches Othello.\u00a0 Hammer says ok and slides down and its the far side of the pit and then falls down.\u00a0 Bone does not catch Hammer, so hit hits the floor.\u00a0 Gubikla decides he does not trust anyone so he spider climes down.<\/p>\n
The camber is has a big brass door that has a impression of a Medusa coming through it.\u00a0 Gubikla determines that it is magical and finds three magical spots on the opposite wall.\u00a0 Othello examines these and finds out how to open the three compartments.\u00a0 The middle one looked to have had a poison needle trap that he was able to disarm. \u00a0 The three compartments had sparkling valves.\u00a0 Gubikla cast spider clime on Bone and bone climes with Gubikla above the door.\u00a0 Hammer goes the the corner next to the door.\u00a0 Othello turns the left nob clockwise and the snakes on the Medusa start to move.\u00a0 He tries turn the nobe the other way and it brakes off.\u00a0 Hammer is now envies Othello’s shinning nob.\u00a0 Bone swings and strikes one of the snakes but it does not look like it took any damage.\u00a0 Gubikla cast illusion of himself in the middle of the room facing the Medusa.\u00a0 Othello turns the right nob counter clockwise but it will not turn so he turns it clockwise and the Medusa’s head starts moving.\u00a0 Othello uses one of his wands and cast invisibility on himself and then turns the last nob clockwise.\u00a0 The Medusa comes to life and ask what the password was.\u00a0 No one remembered anything about a password so the Medusa comes out of the door. Bone stabs it in the back of the head. \u00a0 Gubikla cast magic missile.\u00a0 Hammer cast guiding bolt and misses its leg.\u00a0 Othello pulls out the bottle of darkness and starts filling the room with darkness.\u00a0 He shoots over his shoulder misses the Medusa and everyone else but the illusion.\u00a0 The Medusa tries to grab Hammer and the hand slips of his arm. \u00a0 Bone hit the Medusa again with this sword.\u00a0 Gubikla misses with frost bolt.\u00a0 Look through his mirror and see that the Medusa has their back to him so he turns and fires and hits the Medusa.\u00a0 Hammer hits the Medusa with his hammer and Bone cuts off the Medusa head with his second swing. \u00a0 Othello closes the bottle and the darkness rescinds.\u00a0 Luckily the head was facing the floor.\u00a0 Bone helps Othello slide the head into a bag.\u00a0 Bone picks up a belt from the Medusa and Othello fins a ring.\u00a0 The belt has a key in a pouch. \u00a0<\/p>\n
The key magically opened the big brass door.\u00a0 The door reviled a triangular shaped room with bookshelf along the back wall.\u00a0 Othello searches the bookshelf and the walls and reveals no hidden doors or compartments.\u00a0 The bookshelf has six brown leather books on it.\u00a0 Hammer reaches out to look at a book and the book leaped off the self into his hand.\u00a0 He could not put the book back on the self but could put it on the floor.\u00a0 After examination it looks to be a magical book “Manual of Wisdom” \u00a0I then take the second book from the end on the right and it was a manual of Dexterity.\u00a0 Gubikla gets a Manual of Intelligence and Bome gets a Manual of Constitution.\u00a0 Gubikla tries to take another book and it flies of the self and slaps him in the face.\u00a0 We all try different things to get a second book with no avail.\u00a0 So we decide to hold up see if Cloverdung or Kavis make it to the room.<\/p>\n
