Othello uses a rope that was tied off to clime down and look into the shaft one level down.\u00a0 He sees that there are a couple of puff balls plant things at the entrance so he decides he does not want to get covered in spores so he gets Kavis to swing the rope out so that he can tumble into the shaft on the other side of elevator shaft.\u00a0 Luckily He misses a puff thing that was in that passageway.\u00a0 He then catches the rope and ties it off on a good support beam that he finds so the others can slide down.\u00a0 Kavis uses his hammer as zip line and slides down like a pro.\u00a0 Hammer thinks that is cool so he ties but trip was a little more jerky.\u00a0 Gubikla does not trust the rope after the two dwarfs used it so he cast spider clime and climes over.<\/div>\n

We see a bunch of star fish like creatures on the ceiling and Othello shoot one and wounds it.\u00a0 The other star creatures start slowly moving toward the wounded one.\u00a0 Hammer cast sacred flame and Othello shoots another one.\u00a0 The wounded one burst into flames and it \u00a0ignites the second wounded one.\u00a0 The star creatures start moving away and down the hall.\u00a0 The party advances and takes out a few more.\u00a0 They see a side passage way and a detect treasure spell was pointing that there was some coins down.<\/div>\n

We head down the side passage way following the treasure detection and the tunnel was collapsed.\u00a0 We see a boot sticking out of the ruble.\u00a0 Hammer ends up taking the boot and after some digging Othello found the remains of a coin purse.\u00a0 Gubikla gets the other boot. \u00a0 They both put on the boot they pickup.\u00a0 Unfortunately nothing bad happened.\u00a0 So Gubikla made Hammer stand next to him so the he could identify them. \u00a0 After a quick search we find a worm hole tunnel leading down and to the side.\u00a0 Kavis hears a humming coming from below.\u00a0 Gubikla and Hammer go investigate where the star creatures went and Kavis and Othello clime down the worm tunnel.<\/div>\n

The star creatures stopped at a dead end of the passage way.\u00a0 So they come back and clime down the tunnel as well.\u00a0 Kavis climes out of the passage way and thinks he sees something out of the corner of his eye down the hall but he look down the hallway he sees nothing.\u00a0 Othello then climes out not thinks nothing as Kavis did not say anything.\u00a0 He determines that the treasure detection is pointing him down the hallway.\u00a0 Hammer and Gubikla clime out as Othello start down the hallway.<\/div>\n

Othello only made it about 15′ before he is jabbed and bit by a couple of translucent praying mantes like creatures.\u00a0 One on ether side him.\u00a0 He takes out his dagger and tries to stab one but fails.\u00a0 So he uses his spring like ability to retreat.\u00a0 Kavis advance to attack.\u00a0 Gubikla cast a chromatic orb against one of them.\u00a0 One of the creatures attacks Kavis while the other jumps past Kavis and Othello and grabs Gubikla with one arm and punches him with the other. \u00a0 Hammer swings and misses.\u00a0 Kavis attacks the one if front of him.\u00a0 Othello back stabs the one that jumped past him.\u00a0 He hits and ends up paralyzing the creature.\u00a0 Gubikla tries to escape being locked in creatures arms but can’t manage to pry himself loose.\u00a0 Hammer slams the creature with his weapon but it is still standing.\u00a0 Kavis continues to fight the creature in front of him.\u00a0 Othello joins this fight by shooting a bolt into the creature.\u00a0 Gubikla decided to cast frost bolt at the creatures arm that is holding him. \u00a0 It helps but it does not release him.\u00a0 Hammer cast sacred flame on the one fighting Kavis.\u00a0 Kavis then finish’s off the creature and we free Gubikla by killing the one holding him.<\/div>\n

At this point we determine that dust is causing Gubikla and Hammer to get sick and loose Constitution points.\u00a0 We venture forward after the battle following the treasure detection and it leads us to the remains of dead cleric. \u00a0after looting his body Hammer cast speak with dead.\u00a0 We learn that he died of the red dust in the mine.\u00a0 We also learn that the red ore that was on his corpse was from two levels down on the other side and there was more ore then he could carry out. \u00a0 We search the passageway and find a larger worm tunnel going down but Kavis hears more humming and decides it was the translucent creatures and does not want to go down that way.\u00a0 Gubikla decides he can D-Door us down to the passage way indicated to have the ore.<\/div>\n

After the d-door we head down the passage way and find the end where it looks like it was more recently mined.\u00a0 We each take a small rough shallow mining shaft and start mining. \u00a0 After several hours we each get a good amount of red ore and we get attacked by a group of the translucent insect creatures.\u00a0 After Othello casting thunder stick a couple of times and Gubikla missing with a Acidic orb.\u00a0 We nearly collapse the tunnel.\u00a0 We ended up killing off the ones that did not get crushed by the falling ruble and decide we had pushed our luck long enough and leave by way of Gubikla casting teleport.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
