Did Cloverdung decided he liked being a tree over being human?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The party decided that they scavenged all they could from the battle with the priest, so they head back to the main chamber and head to the passageway to the north that is blocked by a large round boulder. \u00a0Hammar, Pete, Mighty, and Bone work together and push the boulder back. \u00a0The boulder rolls into a small divot in a round chamber. \u00a0This give a nice walkway around the boulder on either side. \u00a0\u00a0The passageway leads a short way north before splitting in an \u2018Y\u2019 \u00a0The left passageway has an upward slope and \u00a0appears to curve around to head north east. \u00a0The right passageway goes slightly north before opening up into a wider passageway that curves around and heads south. <\/span><\/p>\n

The party heads to the right toward the wider passageway and are faced with what appear to be floating skulls. \u00a0Mightychondria says \u201cthis can\u2019t be good\u201d on seeing the skulls fly in to attack. \u00a0But I guess he had some type of baseball or cricket experience as he winds up and send one screaming the other direction. \u00a0This impressed Bone but Bone lets Mighty know that he needs to add some style by pointing to where he was going to hit the thing across the room. \u00a0This of course was referring to the time he batted the laser eyeballs to their doom. \u00a0The skulls proved to be a harder fight the the party expected due to the party using most of their spells in the previous battles, but are victorious. \u00a0\u00a0On completing the battle Gubikla decided it is time to rest and pulls out his magical tiny hut. \u00a0The creates a small dome that will only allow those that he grants access to enter. \u00a0The party bloody and exhausted settle in for a good eight hours rest. \u00a0The hut takes up the entire width of the hallway that the party is currently in.<\/span><\/p>\n

With a full night’s sleep the part wakes up just as the hut disappears. \u00a0Othello is instantly awaked and put to sleep with a dagger to the back of his kidney. \u00a0Othello falls to the ground fainting death as his last last couple of hit points barely keep the gnome alive. \u00a0With a couple of other assassins attacking the party upon the hut vanishing the party is in about as good a shape from before they started resting. \u00a0But due to the quick work of Bone and Mighty the party is able to dispatch the other attackers. \u00a0The only real problem is that the hobbit assassin has managed to slice open Hammar\u2019s throat. \u00a0On seeing his companions dieing the hobbit escapes down the unexplored hallway. \u00a0Othello realizing the threat is gone and seeing Hammar dying from blood gushing out his throat, jumps up and pulls a healing potion out and pours it into Hammar via the tracheotomy that the Hobbit so graciously performs. Hammar recovers enough to throw a mass healing spell on the party. \u00a0Othello and Hammar are now out for blood and try to chase down the red haired hobbit. \u00a0Could this be Nitty Sharpstick that the party was after from Adventure 7? <\/span><\/p>\n

Othello is able to track the hobbit down the hallway that lead down past a side hallway the looked to slope upward. \u00a0The main hallway lead to a throne room. \u00a0Othello is able to see a glace of what he assumes is the hobbit up on a ledge that is hidden in the shadows up above the main room walls circling the throne. \u00a0As Othello enters the room and move to try to pursue the hobbit by climbing to the ledge the figure vanishes. \u00a0Othello climbs to the top of the ledge about the time the rest of the party come into the throne room. \u00a0Gargoyles come to life and prepare to attack the party. \u00a0Mighty climbs up to reach the gargoyles and help out Othello as the gnome realizes that he has made it to the ledge between two of them. \u00a0Gublica cast a fire bolt and strikes one of them. \u00a0The rest of the party get ready to attack as soon as they get in range. Mighty cleaves one in half and Othello shoots his sonic bolt into one blowing chunks of rock off the gargoyle. \u00a0The other gargoyles fly down and engage the party. \u00a0Bone slices the wings off one and Hammar is able to pound one into dust with his hammer. \u00a0Pete knocks the head off one with his flaming mace. Mighty finishes off the injured one on the ledge and does a flying leap crashing down on one. \u00a0The party is able to subdue the gargoyles. \u00a0Looking around they see the throne near the back of the room and behind the throne is a large bronze door. \u00a0The party has finally made it back to the magically locked door. \u00a0Pete cast detect trap and notices that the throne area is magic trapped and the door is magically trapped as well. <\/span><\/p>\n

Pete tries to throw some gargoyle body chucks onto the throne but can\u2019t do it. \u00a0Bone picks up one and show Pete how it is done. \u00a0There is no magical explosion or fire that is triggered by this action. So Pete decides to investigate but finds nothing with the throne. \u00a0He decides his trap detection is coming from beneath the throne so he ties the rope around the throne and pulls the throne from a distance. \u00a0It reveals a hole with a chest in it. \u00a0He decides that he can loop the rope around the chest and pull it out using the throne as pulley point. \u00a0Pete is able to pull chest out of the hole and bust it open. \u00a0Othello determines it is time for him to search the hole and finds a secret compartment. \u00a0The party goes through the loot and now it is time for the door.<\/span><\/p>\n
