Othello and Hammar climb down to the room below and Othello puts his head under the tapestry and peers down the hallway on the other side. To continue heading down and there are three sets of stairs that are separated \u00a0by short flat stents. \u00a0He hears some voice come from the dark hallway but neither Hammar nor Othello can determine what language it is. \u00a0Hammar somehow is able to sneak around the tapestry and start heading down the hallway. \u00a0Othello know the Dwarf won\u2019t make it far so he go over to the bell and rings it. \u00a0This being the Hobgoblins from the other room up the passage to answer the bell but then is surprised by Hammar and cries out just before Hammar\u2019s hammer crashes against him. \u00a0The rest of the party come to help out as several more Hobgoblins appear charging up the hallway. \u00a0Othello shoots his crossbow and finishes off the injured one. \u00a0Bone slices and stabs a few and Gubikla cast ray of frost and fire bolt. \u00a0The party defeat the group of Hobgoblins and make their way to the room. \u00a0Here they find several bed roles and piles of trash. \u00a0The only real thing of interest is a fire pit that is not making any smoke. \u00a0On investigating the fire pit it looks like a metal ring is encompassing the fire and is pulling the smoke into itself. \u00a0Hammar puts out the fire and almost grabs the ring before releasing the ring is still hot. \u00a0He then cools of the ring by sprinkling bear on it. \u00a0When he picks the ring up it shrinks down to the size of an arm band. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The party starts heading down a really long hallway. \u00a0Just a little ways in they hear a mechanical grinding. \u00a0Othello yells trap and throws himself against the wall between two hole that are opening up from the southern wall. \u00a0Gubikla manages to react quick enough to do the same. \u00a0Unfortunately Bone and Hammar \u00a0are left standing in the middle of the hallway as crossbows poke out of the murder holes and shoot. \u00a0With a bolt sticking out of his armour, Bone grabs the crossbow and pulls. \u00a0The stunned Hobgoblin does not release his crossbow and gets his head pulled into the other side of the wall. \u00a0Hammar takes cover between two of the murder holes. \u00a0The Hobgoblins start to reload. \u00a0Othello pulls his Thunder stick wand out and points into one of the hole next to him and blast. \u00a0There is a nice concussion sound and clanking of armour like the creatures have been slammed against a few walls. \u00a0With no more movement, Othello searches but can\u2019t find the way in. \u00a0Hammar irritated at this cast stone shape and creates a door into the hidden room. \u00a0There laying on the floor are several bodies. \u00a0On one side of the room is two levers the first lever opens a armoury with one more crossbow and a few bots. \u00a0The second opens up a secret door that leads back to the hallway. \u00a0Othello shrugs and goes it was not there a minute ago. \u00a0\u00a0During this process Hammar is pretty sure that this area was constructed by Dwarfs. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

With nothing else found the party head farther down the hallway. \u00a0\u00a0A little while later the same thing happens except the murder holes appear on the northern wall. \u00a0The party a little more weary are prepared for \u00a0this one. \u00a0Bone skewers one with his sword and then swing the dead Hobgoblin into another one knocking it down. \u00a0Hammar pound one that was not quite fast enough to pull arms back through the hole. \u00a0Gublika cast ice storm and destroys a few more. \u00a0Othello finds the secret door on this as he now knows what to look for. \u00a0He opens it. \u00a0The leader yells at the one near the door to close it. \u00a0The Hobgoblin reaches and pulls a leaver but it closes the murder holes instead of the door. \u00a0The party enters through the door and finishes off the last couple of Hobgoblin. \u00a0The hidden room is the same as the last. <\/span><\/p>\n

The party head back to the hallway that leads to an intersection with a north east passageway that appears to dead-end and a southern passageway with stairs that lead down. \u00a0Othello says the good stuff is always at the bottom and to prove that this is true cast detect treasure from one of his daggers. It does indeed point south. \u00a0The party goes down the stairs and comes to a hallway that leads east that then goes to a four way intersection. \u00a0The party keeps going south and down more stairs. \u00a0Gublika is heading up the rear of the party and somehow is the one that triggers a bear trap on the stairs. \u00a0It clamps up around his chest. \u00a0Once the party frees him from the trap they find the hallway ends with a heavy door with a metal grates. \u00a0Othello is able to pick the double locks and opens the door. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The party knows that there are two pile in the southern corners of the room with what look like fur pelts covering them. \u00a0Hammar throws a rock at one but nothing happens, so Othello proceeds to the middle of the room. \u00a0This is when he starts hearing the spinning up of gears and mechanical sounds. \u00a0Othello retreats back to the hallway. \u00a0Hammar cast sacred flame on one and it catches on fire. \u00a0The piles turn out to be large mechanical bears. \u00a0Gublika cast ray of frost against one and Bone manages to wedge his sword down the throat of one as it was preparing to take a chunk of him. This stopped the bear in its tracks though you can hear the whining of motor trying to break Bone\u2019s sword. \u00a0The party concentrate on the other bear. \u00a0Bone uses his backup sword to finish it off. \u00a0The party then takes care of the one with Bone\u2019s sword. \u00a0Hammar is able to recover a magical liquid canister that appears to be the beast hart or power source. \u00a0The rest of the party was able to pick up more gold plated gears and parts. \u00a0The party decides to rest in the room covering up with the bear pelts to blend in. \u00a0Othello and Bone keep an eye out during the night.<\/span><\/p>\n
