There is also some scaffolding next to the north wall. Near the south west corner near the arm are a couple of wagons. There are Goblins working all over the room. But most are on the scaffolding either cutting chunks of silver off the arm sticking out of the wall or chipping away the rock around the statue. There are also a couple of Hobgoblins around the room as well. Othello pulls out a wand and aims toward the carts and unleashes a lightning bolt. It hits the wall and ricochets across the carts and hits the boot and ricochets again toward the north wall. There is a big flash of light and several Goblins drop dead but no one figures out what happened. So Tetranac shoots a lightning arrow from his bow and hit the silver hand. This kills a few more Goblins but this time enough of them look around and see the party of Adventures and the few that are on floor start running toward the party. The other start scrambling down the scaffolding. Hammar cast Spiritual Weapon at the base of one of the scaffolding so that it can hit the Goblins as the climb off. While the others ready their weapons and wait for the incoming Goblins. Othello shoots one of the Goblins running toward him but soon realizes that the Hobgoblins on the scaffolding have pulled out crossbows and shoot a volley at him. The first wave of Goblins make it to melee range and take a swing and they don’t hit any of their own group so there are feeling good. That is until Bone and Talin unleash a barrage of attacks. Hammar set one of the scaffolding on fire with a Sacred Flame. Othello starts shooting one of the Hobgoblins up on the scaffolding. Tetranac cast Hail of Thorns covering the five foot area a rain of thorns. Talin and Bone start to pile up the bodies around them. Othello continues to shoot one of the Hobgoblins and start trading taunts as the Hobgoblin refuses to die and the Hobgoblin can’t seem to hit Othello. The Hobgoblin call Othello a Bagginses. Tetranac shoots a few more as they approach but is eventually forced to switch to his swords as two many of them make it into melee range. Tetranac cast globe of darkness around himself. Talin rushes one of the scaffolding and throws his hand axes at a Hobgoblin but misses. Bone charges in beside Talin and just cuts the front half of the scaffolding in half causing the Hobgoblin to fall to his death. Hammar finishes off the Goblins around him and head over to the a Hobgoblin that is standing up on the hand sticking out of the wall. Othello finally kills the one he was attacking. Tetranac finish off the Goblin in the globe of darkness with his illusionary dagger from his bracers. After the battle is over Hammar and Talin take a chunk of silver from the wagon.

The party pickup Gublika on the way out of the room and head back to the Y and take the south east passageway. Once again Tetranac and Othello are scouting head. They soon come to another intersection this time one hallway goes northeast and the other heads south. Talin yells out to go to the right so Othello and Tetranac head south. As the rest of the party gets to the intersection a giant snake comes out of the other hallway, spits and blinds Bone and swallows Talin before he figure out what is going on. Talin beat against the inside of the snake. Hammar, Othello, and Tetranac attack the snake. Bone swings his great sword and apparently it does not matter that he is blind as he hacked away at the snake. Gubikla cast fire bolt and the Snake and misses. The party continues to attack the snake. The snake attacks Tetranac and sinks his fangs into him and looks to be preparing to swallow the Drow. Tetranac shoots a lightning arrow down the snake’s throat which make the snake turn away from Tetranac. This also let Talin see a flash of light. Gubikla cast Ice Storm and finishes off the snake. Talin makes his way out. Othello and Talin cut a section of unscarred snake skin off keep it to make something out of later.

The party decides to head up the passageway that the snake came from. They come to a section of hallway that have three rows of metal spikes driven into both side of the hallway. Othello can’t find any traps so he teleports himself over to the other side and finds a natural formed cavern that has water covering one side of the cavern. The rest of the party walks between the spikes without any known side effects. Hammar search the pool for any valuables and finds a small silver ring. Gubikla cast detects magic and finds nothing. So the party losses interest with the cavern and head back to the passageway heading south. This hallway splits and the party again keeps right and heads around and it joins back up with the hallway heading the other direction. Just as the party gets past the joined passageway a Halfling sneaks up behind Gubikla and stabs him. Bone takes a swing and misses the Halfling and tells the Halfling to “stop in the name of the law”. The Halfling tells Bone “You will never catch me copper” and head back up the hallway and and throws a playing card on the floor and vanishing into the portal it made. The portal closes before anyone in the party could get to it. Othello and Tetranac did not even know what happened and keep heading south down the hallway and it comes out about 8ft high into a huge room that seems to be an ancient and really well made. It has inverted arches joined with main arches holding up the ceiling. Othello drops down and head over toward the other side and sees giant tables that have a grating underneath the left and right ones. What could they be used for?
