Was Kavis part of the scouting party to Deep Hold?<\/span><\/p>\n

The party spends a couple of days in and around Highvail pick up some equipment and special orders. \u00a0People visited Strikers, The temple of Dumathoin, Ormlay Shakestill the apothecary, Karloff, Toothless Thomas, and Homhelm the barkeep of LaCroix. \u00a0It has been heard that a Dwarven scouting party had returned from Deep hold badly cut up. \u00a0But have not been able to talk directly with one of them as they were still recovering. \u00a0Karloff warned us about going to Deep Hold. \u00a0He talked about strange lights and other oddities that caused harm to anyone that ventured near it.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Bone, Gubikla, and Talin went to go see Gerthard Bloodstaives the Sherrif of Highvale. \u00a0They told him the tail of helping out in the battle of the highvail pass, what we had found with the Mist, and about the Urns we had seen. \u00a0He told us that the stories they were spreading about salt on the doorway and the priest blessing the doorways protected against the mist was fase. He also tells them about a Drow, male and female seen around town that he would like a word with. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The party decides to hang out at the park and inspect the strange tower with the Gargoyle around it that is across the street. \u00a0While waiting for dark to ether fight the mist some more or break into the tower. \u00a0It is noticed that a strange beam strikes and bird that flies to close? \u00a0Othello throws a rock at the door and it is like a mouth on the door opened up and swallowed the rock instead of the rock hitting the door. \u00a0Tetranac spotted a kid that had a shimmer around him reminding Tetranac of an illusion and he, Pete, and Mightychondria run after him but loose him in the crowds. \u00a0Bone spots a old lady pushing a cart through the park with lots of bottles on it. \u00a0He finds out that she is a potion peddler and after treating her with a permit check get a potion discount. \u00a0\u00a0Gubikla ask her about some positions and she has what he is looking for but it is to expensive for him. \u00a0She is also looking a Gubikla like he might be to short or to young to purchase anything. \u00a0He casually ask if she can make it spicy and she says that she can add a litch pepper for a few gold. \u00a0Othello spots a Halfling out of the corner of his eye that lifts a purse from someone in the park. \u00a0He then hears a crackle of thunder in the direction of the tower and he looks and sees a puff of smoke coming from the ground near the tower. \u00a0He turns back to the halfling but by that point they are gone. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Talin gets feed up and convinces the party to head to pickup Hammish and go to Deep Hold. \u00a0So the party heads to bridgeport and talks to Hammish and he will take us in the morning. \u00a0So the party hangs out on the roof of a near by building for the night. \u00a0At daybreak Hammish heads out with the party and gets on a barge that takes them across the lake. \u00a0Othello rides his Hippogriff. \u00a0Hammar spots a giant sea eel that swims under the barge. \u00a0The barge captain says that it is rare to see them and they hardly ever attack. \u00a0He must of know what he was talking about as they made it the other side and headed down the road to Deep Hold. \u00a0The rest of the first day was rather eventless. \u00a0Othello tells the party of what he thinks was a Dragon far in the distance to the east. \u00a0Talin and Tetranac take the first watch with nothing of interest. Followed up by Othello and Mightychondria taking the second watch. \u00a0\u00a0The party heads out a little after the sun rise. \u00a0Tetranac manages to capture some goats that the party eats a one of the rest stops. \u00a0The next night Tetranac sees a flash of light up on the mountain side. \u00a0He wakes up Othello and gets him to fly over to see if he could find anything. \u00a0He finds a cave and reports back to the party. \u00a0The next morning they head in to investigate the cave. \u00a0Mightychondria finds a snag line just inside that dropped a large rock that he managed to dodge. \u00a0Tetranac comes in and sees that the cave is shallow and there is just a small altar near the back with a couple of trap lines near it. \u00a0The trip them from afar by throwing stuff at the line. \u00a0This triggered two more large rocks falling from the ceiling. \u00a0They looked around and did not find anything of interest. \u00a0It appears to be some shrine that some Kobolds have put up. \u00a0The party heads back to the road and make it to the front door of Deep Hold. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0It appears that there are four Urns setup in front of the door and the door appears to have some green orbs moving around the face of the door.<\/span><\/p>\n
