{"id":662,"date":"2017-10-07T18:49:43","date_gmt":"2017-10-07T23:49:43","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/cloverdung.texasbluelime.com\/?p=662"},"modified":"2017-10-07T18:51:27","modified_gmt":"2017-10-07T23:51:27","slug":"adventure-88-wyntbridge-the-legendary-flame-strike","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cloverdung.texasbluelime.com\/?p=662","title":{"rendered":"Adventure 88 \u2013 Wyntbridge (The legendary Flame Strike)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Talin \u2013 Dwarf: Fighter (lvl 10)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Othello \u2013 Gnome: \u00a0Thief (lvl 11)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bone \u2013 Human: Fighter (lvl 11)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Gubikla \u2013 Gnome: Wizard (lvl 10)<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hammar &#8211; Dwarf: Clieric (lvl 9)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Did we see Cloverdung performing at the Fishing Bear? \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Is Kavis the leader of the Dwarfs in Dillhole?<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The party finds the Fishing Bear in Wyntbridge welcoming and excited that the party has returned. \u00a0There is a grand table with the players names engraved in gold leaf and permanently reserved. \u00a0The neighbors to the Inn have strangely sold their places to the Bear so that it can now expand. \u00a0Dillhole has become a nicely fortified town with Hobbits, Dwarfs, and Gnomes, as well as the Otters as inhabitants. \u00a0High Priest Peat has built a nice stone temple to Ager that suspiciously looks to have come from the \u201cin progress\u201d temple in Wyntbridge. \u00a0Hammar has found out that his temple walls have been built three times but have not gotten any closer to finishing his temple. \u00a0Bone found a nice appreciation gift from the residents in Dillhole for his protection. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">While the party was at the Fishing Bear eating dinner and drinking Pike comes up fully armed with his wagon hauling several kegs of cider and scotch. \u00a0As he delivers the kegs he sees the party he diverts one of the kegs to the table that the partyin is sitting. He tells them that we have to do something as that some Gnolls have attacked his neighbors and burned down part of his Orchard. The party finishes off the Keg and heads out. \u00a0Pike is now a little drunk so he tells them to go on without him. \u00a0Talin and Hammar tries to take Pike\u2019s wagon but the mules will not budge. \u00a0So they head out on foot. \u00a0Bone is carrying Othello and Talin is carrying Gublika as the are drunk as well. \u00a0Hammar is riding his new Black riding Bear. \u00a0The party starts singing Dwarven drinking songs as they head out. \u00a0With Gublika shooting a magic missile off every now and then. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The party gets ambushed on the way to Pike\u2019s by a pack of Hyenadon. \u00a0One takes Othello off Bone\u2019s shoulder. Othello starts yelling \u2018Commanders Strike\u2019 in Dwarven but he does not speak Dwarven so it sounds like Sally Bites. \u00a0One take Gubikla off Talin\u2019s. \u00a0Two attack Hammar and knock him down. One goes up agains Talin and one goes up against Bone. \u00a0Othello shoots a lightning bolt at the one that grabbed him. \u00a0It also hits Bone and the Hyenadon attacking him. \u00a0Bone attacks the one near him. \u00a0Gubikla cast a fireball in the mouth of the Hyenadon that grabbed him. \u00a0This takes out the one near him and the one near Bone. \u00a0Hammar and Talin takon the ones near them. \u00a0Bone finishes off the one near Othello. \u00a0Othello creates a nice fountain of puke as the half digested human parts spew all over Othello. \u00a0Gublika shoots one near Hammar. Talin finishes off the one near him and starts attacking the one Gublika shot near Hammar. \u00a0Hammar and his riding bear finish off the one. \u00a0Othello manages to get a shot off and finishes off the last one.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">Othello finds that the Hyenadon tracks came from the west of Pike\u2019s place so the party the party heads off that direction. Othello is sobering up now that he has puked up most of the alcohol. \u00a0A little while longer and Talin claims to have seen someone on a broom. \u00a0Othello searches the syke and turns around to tell Talin he is seeing things when he see them coming up behind them and then does a sharp pull up as a fireball goes off around the party. \u00a0Othello tries to shoot the broom rider but misses. \u00a0Gublika shoots a extended flame bolts and hits them. \u00a0As it is out of normal rage for Hammar he pulls out his Lighting jar and shoots that and the rider and broom go explode in a cloud of smoke. \u00a0Hammar seems to have spotted a ring that fell and manages to grab it. \u00a0It is a little hot and sears his hand because of the heat. \u00a0But it looks like a curled serpent. \u00a0Talin and Othello see a pouch fall. \u00a0Othello activates his dagger of treasure sens thinking that will give him advantage on finding it. But Talin manages to keep an eye on it as if falls through the trees and catches it, as it bounces of a limb or two.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">The party head on and finds a burnt out house and several Gnoll around it talking with a couple of land schooners near by. \u00a0Hammar and the others take a short rest while Othello keeps a lookout. \u00a0His hatred for Gnolls draws him into gether information. \u00a0He overhears one telling the others to get back to the ship as \u2018she\u2019 will be back any time now and they should be set to attack Wyntbridge at dawn. Othello remembers that they had some explosive barrels on the boats so he goes and sneaks on board the smaller boat and finds a barrel below deck. \u00a0He has trouble lighting it, but finds it lite without knowing it at first. \u00a0He manages a narrow escape. \u00a0The schooner blows up and causes a small fire on the larger ship. \u00a0The Gnolls are running around trying to figure out what is going on. \u00a0Othello meets the party rushing toward the ships and says the other one is theirs. \u00a0Talin runs up and Earth Reavers several. \u00a0Hammar calls down a flame strike on the deck checking four in the blast. \u00a0But it also goes through the deck and causes the explosive barrels on that boat to explode. \u00a0Causing a massive shock wave, a fiery blast, followed by piercing debris. \u00a0Talin is stunned and seared. \u00a0While Hammar gets knocked out as he is blown backwards and pierced by the flying debris of what is left of the ship. \u00a0He lands close to where Othello had retreated to so he goes over and feeds him a healing potion to revive him. \u00a0The party then goes back to town with a mission accomplished and the town saved once again.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\">COD = Hammar for blowing up the ship and himself in the process.<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Talin \u2013 Dwarf: Fighter (lvl 10) Othello \u2013 Gnome: \u00a0Thief (lvl 11) Bone \u2013 Human: Fighter (lvl 11) Gubikla \u2013 Gnome: Wizard (lvl 10) Hammar &#8211; Dwarf: Clieric (lvl 9) Did we see Cloverdung performing at the Fishing Bear? \u00a0 Is Kavis the leader of the Dwarfs in Dillhole?
