The party is crowded around the giant chest that is now open. \u00a0What was released? Can they survive the now \u2018immortal\u2019 dragon and the rising lava? \u00a0The party investigate the chest and find that the inside is lined with a sheet of mithril. \u00a0The mithril had symbols inscribed in to it, but are not fading. With the lava flowing into the cavern, Talin figures that the chest will float. \u00a0So the party goes to work pulling the mithril sheets off. By this time the lava has pickup the chest and is getting push slowly. There has been booming sounds of battle and curses from the huge chamber where the dragon was and the party had fled from. \u00a0This is when a shock wave hit the party. Tetranac was the only member of the party that did not fall unconscious from the wave. But the majority of the party was able to gain consciousness a short time after. But in the meantime they were scolded by the hot floor of the chest that was heating up from the lava. \u00a0The few members that did not recover were propped up bandaged up enough to become stable, even if unconscious. Bandages were used because the party found out that everything had become non magical. All potions, scrolls, and one use items became useless. All other magical items became non magical as well though some ended up recovering while others did survive the blast. \u00a0This also meant that things like bags of holding and items that contained things like commodius emptied out their content into the chest. The Odisha started snuggling with Gubikla and Randy. The litch escaped the smoke ring and was threatening to do the players end. But found it could not do any magic and it faded away as it could not hold it gasses form together. In the same way the demon came out of Bones axe and threatened to kill everyone but could not use magic and what it found was worse, was that it could be injured and killed with non-magic weapons.<\/span><\/p>\n

Othello jumps and is able to grab and hold on the the wall. \u00a0He then hammers a pilon into the wall and feeds a rope through it. \u00a0He then moves down the wall and creates a path to the hallway head of the lava and then realizes the lava has stopped flowing and is now cooling. \u00a0The party then pulls the lid of the chest and fills it with the party\u2019s loot and pushes it down the hall slowly. A light starts coming down the hallway and the casters start to feel access to magic again. \u00a0The party turns and greets a giant that looks like a dwarf with a red beard. He introduces himself as Glass. He apologises for the magical blast that disrupted the magic and destroyed some of the party\u2019s items. \u00a0He thanks them for freeing him. He tells the party that he was able to make the dragon flee as he reclaimed his home. He was ambushed and caught off guard before and was trapped in the chest. <\/span><\/p>\n

We asked about the Citadel of Frost and he says he has not heard of that in a very long time. \u00a0He starts of saying that there was a War in Heaven and the Lords and Ladies came to this land and dwelt here for some time before they realized that there was evil beings on the world as well. \u00a0The gods created the Dragons then the Dwarves, then the Elves, and finally the Humans. The four races were corrupted by the evil. The God helped the races with campaigns that worked together to banish the evil. \u00a0Though the was driven underground and not banished. Like originally thought. The wizard of the Drude along with the Citadel of Frost vanished. The wizard was more powerful than Glass. During the battles there was a portal that was created and the gods were banished. \u00a0\u00a0There are only a few of the races champions left. He urges the group to find the other great items from the champions to fight this new rise of evil that has ties to the old days. <\/span><\/p>\n

Glass then lets the party to rest and feast in his home. \u00a0When the party makes it back to the grand chamber they see a whole assortment of beast that have come to serve him. The room is slowly changing to what it once was. \u00a0A great mosaic depicting the world now covers the floor. The next day he give each member of the party a gift to help compensate the lost of any magic items they had destroyed due to his blast. \u00a0The party rest up and then decides to head back to Wyntbridge to train in their preferred skills. <\/span><\/p>\n

Othello found that Cloverdung had sent a hobbit to defame him in Dill Hole. \u00a0The so called bard was arrested by the otters and forced to sing for his three meals that he claims was starving him. \u00a0Othello felt mercy and let him go. But banished him from Dill Hole and told him if he is ever caught in town again then he would only get two meals a day.\u00a0 Of course, the hobbit had already posted all the flyers showing Hammar and Othello coming out of the bathroom, together. Holding hands. Smiling.<\/span><\/p>\n

Grelenda was rescued from the capital by Boris to Othello\u2019s delight. \u00a0After catching up and hearing the stories of how the lord of the kingdom was acting strange and the temple priest and priestess were either disappearing or coming back not acting like themselves. <\/span><\/p>\n

Bone received a letter congratulating him on his acts and help in saving Wyntbridge. \u00a0He was summoned to the capital to recognize him for his actions. The party decides to go ahead and make their way to the capital when a unexpected visit from Boris happened. \u00a0Boris was once again disguised. He tell Bone that he thinks the summons was a trap. He also tells the party to hurry up and recover Isbil’s Staff. He not so subtly reminds the party he had sent the party of this quest around two years ago. \u00a0It is all so hinted at that the staff is located on the Vorticinal Network.<\/span><\/p>\n

So the party then decides to go to the circle of trees portal and try one of the paths toward the staff. \u00a0The party stops at the beer pool and are greeted by some acolites of Ager. Gubikla summons a earth elemental so that Hammar can help kill it and gain some powers from the gift of Earth Elemental control that Glass gave him. \u00a0He felt that his spell was taken over and a much larger elemental was summoned. The party got to try out the new gits from Glass on slaying the elemental. Now confident in their new items they head off to the tree portal.<\/span><\/p>\n
