We find that there are two. We fight the two invisible stalkers and end up killing them but Talin has taken some serious damage. Before they were defeated.

Given thee doors and a stange floor the party creeps in to the room looking at the hexes on the floor. Standing on the colors or the color lines coming out of them. None of this has any effect. Eventually the party goes to the door that has the symbol of fire above it. Finding it unlocked Othello opens the door and sees a setting room with a harth at the end. Two plush chairs have there back to the door and are facing the fireplace. On the North wall is a life size image of Isible in anguish. It appears that she is looking at the hearth. Exactly on the other side of the room is another image of her looking out in the distance looking very happy. As the door opens, a apparition that looks like Isibile appears in the chair and turns and says it is about time Arasmas that you came to claim what is yours. It then says I hope you remember the stigel plain as you will need it. It turns to a basket or bowl of mercury and says Hrmmrh hope you serve them as well as half as well as you have served me. The mercury takes the shape of a cat. It acks very much like a cat, ignoring, distracted, or being bored. Hammar tries all kinds of command and other phrases trying to convince the cat to do something that will lead us in the right direction or help us. Othello finds a mechanical device on the mantel that looks like a clock but has 24 symbols on it in a circle. Bone finds the logs in fireplace to be really heavy and fill almost like stone or metal. On further investigation we find 12 archaic symbols on the stone in the back of fireplace. Othello with Bone’s help lights a torch and puts in the fireplace and the fire vanishes or is pulled off the torch and one of the symbols lights up. We do this again with a different torch with the same result. We do find we can’t light the torch again. Gubikla fires a fire bolt in and the same symbol lights up but just brighter. Getting board the party head out to one of the other doors in the tile hex room.

They head to the door (with a beaker symbol above it) straight across it is locked and trapped. Othello tries but is unable to unlock the door. Not hearing anything by listening at the door he heads to the southern door and the door eat his lockpick. Gubikla knocks the doors. The beaker door has a table in the middle and a shelf and a shelf along a curved back wall. On the table was some thieves tools. The shelf had some scrolls and a potion.

The southern door is opened to what appears to be a empty room. After some investigation three shelves are found. One at normal height and two that are higher. Hammar sweeps his arm and brakes several potions as they fall to the floor and start to steam and create some smoke. Othello finds a book, some scrolls, some figures, and a wand.

Finding nothing else of interest with the exception of Hrmmrh coming out to see what was going on. The party heads back to the fireplace and Gubikla cast a high level fireball into it. It expands a little but then gets sucked completely into the fireplace. With a fire now going and all 12 symbols light up. Talin rushes through. Othello tries to shoot his teleporting bolt through but just ends up and the back of the fireplace. He does see a glimmering portal in the fire that he then has to go into the fire to get into it. The others follow. The cat jumped through as soon as he saw Talin head in. This portal led to a marble hallway that looks to be embedded in with mithril. It lead to a giant pair of doors with statues on either side. That look to be presenting something. Talin and Hammar present some type of crystal stones while Othello headed to the door. The door burst open sending Othello sailing back to the end of the hall. The doors lead to a large cave like room with a casket in the middle and it appears to be a person hold the staff outside the casket. Hrmmrh take the gifts from the party on request and puts them in the casket. The party approaches and see what looks to be Isibil turned to crystal holding the staff out. Tetranac grabs the staff and one of his arms turns to crystal. Hammar decides this is the perfect time to cast locate object and find that Isibil’s staff is in Tetranac’s hands. The party then teleports back to the Fisshing Bear inn in Wyntbridge.

COD = Hammar for the determining the location of the staff was right in front of him.

Talin – Dwarf: Fighter (lvl 12) + Cleric (lvl 1) Othello – Gnome: Thief (lvl 14) Bone – Human: Fighter (lvl 14) Gubikla – Gnome: Wizard (lvl 13) Tetranac – Drow: Ranger (lvl 10) Hammar – Dwarf: Cleric (lvl 11) Do Kavis & Cloverdung work for Isbil and Boris in keeping secrets?
