So, the party picks up their search for the imaginary Gnoll army. They try to fix their wagon that was broken last time by the Gnolls who attacked our weary travelers. Horses are dead so even fixing the wagon will not help. Kavis sets it on fire instead.

The group starts walking North in an effort to find the army. As they are going along, Othello notices a large black cloud, with purple lightning, approaching from the South. Othello and Cloverdung fly to check on this cloud, only to discover that it is not a natural storm. Quickly, the pair fly back to the group and decide the party will continue north even though the storm is slightly gaining.

The group comes upon a multi-circle clump of trees. There is one large silver oak in the middle, eleven smaller oaks around it, with yet another circle of fruit trees along the outer edge. Everyone, except Cloverdung, start to inspect the trees. Cloverdung just walk through the orchard and continues northward. The storm finally reaches the group of trees and slowly condenses into two beings. These creatures have multiple appendages and a many number of eyes. Hammar and Bone are struck by these things and their bodies begin to melt where they were hit. Cloverdung strikes one of the creatures from 300ft away with his bow (helping the party but at a distance in case someone has to come back for body parts to resurrect the members). Bone, Othello, Gubikla, Hammar, and Kavis finally kill the two creatures. However, Hammar and Bone are still melting. Hammar decides to eat an apple from one of the trees. His melting stops. Hammar decides to eat 20 more apples. Bone also eats a couple of apples and feels better.

The group decides to camp here so Hammar can fully repair the members. Gubikla create sets up his magic hut fort them to sleep in. Cloverdung decides to spend his night as a tree, amongst the other trees. The next morning, Cloverdung notices the circle of oak trees are in a slightly different location. Like they rotated counter-clockwise some. The party spends the next few minutes trying to figure out if this group of trees is a clock of some kind. Without much intelligence the party gives up and starts heading north again.

After hours of walking, the group sees a large forest on the horizon. They keep walking that walk and discover there is a long road, stretching from the west to the east, along the forest. While Othello is scouting from his griffon, he sees a person jogging from the west towards the east, along the road. The party runs up to the road, to lie in wait for the approaching runner. As soon as he gets close, the party jumps out onto the road. Hello! The runner stops.

Hammar asks the guy what he is doing. He says he is taking a message to the head of our town, from the capital. When asked what the message is, the guy does not say. While, others try to get the information out of the runner, Cloverdung gets bored and kills the guy. Cloverdung then picks up the message pouch and realizes the message is encoded. Not able to read the message, Hammar brings the runner back to life. When asked to tell the party what the encoded message says, he says he does not know. He does not know the code. Cloverdung kills him again. Cloverdung takes all of possessions from the dead body.

Deciding to continue the search for the imaginary Gnoll army, the party heads into the woods. After a short while walking in the woods, the group comes upon wild boar. The boar charges the group, after Cloverdung sticks it with an arrow. Bone is struck by the boar and decides to kill it dead.

With fresh boar meat to eat, the party decides to feast while thinking about how to find this imaginary Gnoll army.
