Othello – Thief
Gubikla – Magic User
Bone – Fighter

The party ventures forth into the passageway past the grate.  It opens up into a mining shaft.  The farther the down the passageway the more the frame looks to be decaying and in worse shape.  The passageway comes to a “T” with a elevator at the intersection.  The side passageways lead to what looked to be sleeping quarters and what use to be a storage room.  The party investigates the elevator and find some bones that may have been a halfling.  The elevator looks to be in pretty bad shape and with poking around Bone causes it to fall.  From the sound it seems to have fallen several hundred feet into the blackness below.   Gubikla tosses a bone from the remains of the halfling down the shaft after casting light on it.  It reveals that passageways alternate coming off the shaft.  We end up tying off a rope to the chain that was holding the elevator and are able to climb down to a passageway below.  We investigate that passageway but it ends pretty quick.  Othello decides to detect treasure. It points down a couple of passageways below and to the other side and a little some more below that.  The parting is able to use the rope from earlier and swing down to the passageway.  But not before a few bumps and scrapes.

Getting down to the passageway the party see some glowing tentacle arms flowing from the walls and ceiling.  They look a lot like sea anemones.  Hammar tosses a rock at one and it retracts back into the wall.  The party moves forward the small tentacle creatures retreat into the walls as the the party get close to any of them.  Cloverdung sees a passway intersection up ahead but is very caucuses on approaching.  Hammar and Othello close in and see a small room with some stalagmites like columns in the room.  Hammar notices some movement.  Hammar and Othello see a worm like creature protruding from the ceiling. Othello shots his hand crossbow and Hammar cast sacred flame at it.  It shrivels up and dies due to the flame.  But we notice that it ignited like it was very flammable and could easily cause an explosion collapsing part of the wall. We see another one that is a larger that is in the back of the room and we end up killing that one as well but it got a few strikes against Hammar.  Hammar pulls the dead worm out of the wall and it turns out to be several meters long.  In some rubble in the back of the room we see what looks like to be the remains of some humanoid.  There is a pouch with a few silver and the remains of a bag that looked to be holding some type of red rock/ore.

Due to the end of the room being collapsed we headed back to the main passageway.    A little ways farther down and we see a much larger worm.  As we determined that it would be dangerous to use fire Othello sneaks down the hall toward it.  When all of a sudden he is struck from either side by what now looks like giant praying mantises that are transparent.   The battle is heavy and with the giant worm detecting the warmth of new victim it starts venturing toward the battle. Cloverdung see this and has had enough.  He shoots a flaming arrow and strikes the worm.  The worm explodes in flame and causes the passageway to collapse where the body was still in the wall. The fames finish off the insect creatures and the party scrambles back up the passageway to safety.  The party decides to rest a little to recover.
