The party strip the valuables off the Orcus and drag and throw them to the pit trap. The part then heads back to the landing with the view stone looking over the throne room. Othello keeps a watch out while the party rest and regains spells. Tetranac rest for the first four hours and recovers. During the third hour while Tetranac was keeping watch. Othello heads back to the room with the basin of flammable liquid. It is still dry. While Othello was off Tetranac sees a Dwarf helping another dwarf come into the throne room and head toward the secret door. But following them is a Drud and it shoots a beam from each orb that it is wielding and it kills both of them. Tetranac tells Othello this when he gets back. Othello can see the bodies through the view stone near the secret door. While they are waiting to see is if the Drud is really gone, Othello sees a big tentacle poke through the doors into the throne room. It then it leaves south down the hallway. Othello says he is going to go check it out, But Tetranac thinks it would be better for him to go and see if he could track it. So Tetranac heads out of the throne room. While Tertranac is out Othello drags the Dwarves inside the secret door into the secret hallway. He props them up in a sitting position after determining they have been dead a couple of hours. Tetranac finds some slimy substance in the entryway and happens to discover that if it comes into contact with blood it starts to dissolve the stone. He sits and concentrates for a few minutes and determines that there are several Aberration near by. He determines that the tracks in the entryway leads south down the hallway. But decides it is better to go back to the party.
After the party wakes up and gets the update of what happened while they were asleep. Talin punches Tetranac in the nose on hearing that he let the dwarves die and not do anything. He goes down and checks out the dwarves and finds that they might be from the royal guard. He thinks that the handle on the War Axe is a little long and after letting Othello look at it finds that it opens and there is a thin sheet of mithril with dwarven runes on it. He leaves it in the axe handle and the party head out and follows the tracks south.
Othello and Tetranac are scouting head and about a hundred feet past the branch hallway that lead to traps they spot a monster making a fairly large amount of racket headed toward them. It is unlike anything that they have seen. It has two large wheels made of flesh that are getting propelled by large tentacles. The axle if you could call it that was about four feet off the ground and eyes could be seen every quarter cycle. The wheels were about ten feet and the tentacles went a couple of feet beyond that. Othello was had climbed up the wall and was hiding near the ceiling about twenty feet up. Shot a bolt at the monster but it did not strike true and glanced off the beast. He yells a warning to the rest of the party as he slips back into hiding. Bone moves up and and sets himself in the middle of the hallway waiting for the monster to approach. Talin and Mightychondria setup beside him. Tetranac hids off to the side of the hallway and shoots a explosive arrow at it. Pete and Gubikla bring up the rear of the party. The monster faster then the party expected rolls over the party grabbing Tetranac in the process and flings him down the hallway knocking him cold. The fighters swing and slicing and pounding on the monster as it rolls over them knocking a few of them prone. As the monster stops and reverses direction it grabs Pete and flings him down the hallway from the direction we came from. Gubikla activates his haste boots and dives under the monster and shoots up directly under the monster a lighting bolt making sure he sculpts himself out of the spell. The lighting bolt bouncing off the ceiling and the floor makes five passes through the monster. He does this two more times electrocuting the monster to death. But this is too much for the ceiling and big chucks fall to the heavily damage floor. Gubikla barely survives. The noise that this caused seems to alert other monsters farther down the hall. The party revives the members that were passed out and prepares for the next battle.
Othello is back hiding in the corner of the wall and the ceiling. Tetranac is upfront with the fighters and Pete heads back a little farther from the party, hoping to stay out of combat. The party gets hit by half a dozen or more flyers shooting poisonous darts. Followed up with some Chethrol’s swinging chain bolo. Tetranac gets hit by a dart and is paralyzed. Pete gets hit and paralyzed on the return pass. Bone and Mightychondria get hit and warped up in the chain bolos. Bone manages to flex his muscles and bust the chain. The fragments magicly slam back into Bone embedding themselves, but Bone hardly seems to notice he is just happy to be able to attack. Gubikla cast fireball and that takes out most of the flyers and when the Chethrol advanced he cast a firewall making them split and run along the walls. Hammar and Bone attack while Talin takes up a defensive position in front of Tetranac and uses his Commander’s Strike to let Bone swing again. With Othello picking off monsters from his hiding position and the fighters chopping/pounding down the advancing Chethrols as well as Gubikla giving artillery support. The hallway is cleared in a few rounds. Tetranac regains movement just as the battle ended. Mightychondria managed to shake the dispelled chain near the end of the fight. The party goes and helps the burned and paralyzed Pete. Othello finds a healing potion on Pete and saves it from getting destroyed, just incase Pete would fall over. He then hands it back to him saying that he must have dropped it and he needed to take better care of delicate things like potions.
COD = Gubikla for diving under the monster and bouncing lighting through the monster and then almost dieing from falling debris.
