Adventure 101 – Dill Hole to the Vorticinal Network.

Is Kavis lost in the Vorticinal Network?

After the harrowing escape from Deep Hold.  Everyone rested and there was a great feast in the Mordenkainen’s Magnificent Mansion that Gubikla cast.  The Dwarven King (Ironharth) and the collection of anyone important.  The King gave each fighter a mithril pendant in the same of a gauntlet.  Everyone else got a Dwarven token that said Dwarven friend.  It looks like the Dwarven Priest will activate it so the gauntlets have bless and the tokens have Dwarven resistance to poison.  Karal Othello offers them the Dwarven Outpost for them to live until they can retake Deep Hold.  After inquiries into what was going on and passing of knowledge between the Dwarves and Party.  The party heads off to Wentbridge to get updates there.  They find that the bailiff and another noble was assassinated.  Climet Pace narrowly escaped.  The party make its way to the Bear.  

There drinking arounds to pass the night away, when Gubikla gets stabbed in the neck.  He turns around but does not see anything so he tries to read a scroll but fails.  Next Othello gets stabbed when he was headed to the bar.  He draws his short sword and does a sweep around behind him but misses whatever it was.  He then unleashes his sword to dance on its own.  Mightychondria tries to throw a bear at the invisible attacker but misses.  Probable because the Dwarves were shocked at someone wasting beer.  Rand was getting ready to try and heal Gubikla when his chair decided he was Pete and wrapped him up with the armrest and carried him the to corner of the room.  Gubikla manages to catch the attackers clothes on fire and we see it head to the door.  

This must have let someone see it was a Drow and called out “get the Drow” so Talin and Hammar hit Tetranac and knock him over in his chair then tie him up.  Thinking he was the Drow they were talking about.  

Meanwhile Randy finally gets free of the chair.  Gubikla manages to put a immovable rod the ninja clothes to hold them in place.  Then pumbels him with magic missiles.  Randy cuts the head off and ask it some question by talking to the dead.  After that Rand buys a sack of salt and puts the head in the bag to preserve it.

Tetranac decides to bring the Drow’s body out of the city so that he can burn the body and collect some of the ashes.  So a majority of the party head out and burn the body.  This attracts some Griffin that the party kills.  They do notice that they had some silver amulets that reminded them of those that Erlic Doom Snake used.  

Once back in the Dancing Bear a runner comes in telling Talin that Brombin has some information about the North.  Talin and Karal Othello head to the temple and find that Brombin has found two northern Dwarves; Tubby long axe and Herwin Ice main.  They tell us about the giants gathering in the north driving them south.  They find out that the Citadel of Frost is a mass of ice and is moving south.  The last they saw it was south of Frostburg, east of Othour’s Gully, and a days north of Ackmen’s watering hole.   With this they invite them to the Bear for a drink.  While at the Bear Boris shows up as the party was looking for him.  He tells them a little of what he know about the North.  He also gives them the Book so they can travel the Vorticinal Network.  He tells them that Isbil’s Staff is somewhere on the network.

The party decides to try to head north using the Vorticinal Network as it appears that the teleporting circle in High Vail has been lost.  The party then head to the circle of trees and use the book to head to a point marked with a ring.  The party teleport through a worm like tunnel and end up at a similar stone circle in pitch black.  It is determine that it is 500 feet underground and it appears that a dragon has carved out the chamber.  The party figure out a direction that feels to be the way out and head that way.  They soon find themselves surrounded by magma men.  The party dispose of the dozen or so creatures and then hears a booming voice.  “Who dares enters my domain?”.
