So, as our adventurers are finishing up collecting the loot from the dragon’s lair, a moaning sound is heard coming from the cart. The members surround the cart and find Kavis slowly awakening from a deep sleep. Apparently he had passed out in the cart and slept the entire journey into the cave. Anxious to partake in the dragon pillage, Kavis begins to cut off the head of the dragon so the group can take it back to the village.
While Kavis is hacking away at the remains, Gubikla notices a few heads pop up out of the lava. Before the party can run away, about a dozen lava men jump up out of the lava and begin attacking. Lavaconda don’t want none unless they got big buns hun! The lava men not only do damage but they also begin to ignite clothing and melt weapons used by the party. Fianlly, the party kill off the lava men. And then bind their burns.
The dragon head is loaded into the cart and as the group begins to head out the exit, Othello sees a fuse burning off into the exit tunnel and one of the other tunnels. As the party scatters, a couple of large explosions echo throughout the cavern, and collapse a couple of ceilings. The donkeys begin to run, pulling the cart, down the remaining tunnel. Othello is finally able to stop the donkeys before the cart goes off into the darkness. With the exit tunnel is closed off, the only option for the group is to proceed down this unknown tunnel. Where footsteps were heard running from the lit fuses.
Cloverdung lights a torch and begins to lead them down the tunnel. As he makes a bend in the tunnel he sees a make-shift barricade setup. It consists of logs and rubble. There are a few Kobolds hiding behind the rocks. Othello tells the Kobolds to prepare for death if they don’t let us pass. Instead, the Kobolds attack. Othello fires back with his balista, killing a Kobold. Cloverdung kills one with his arrows. As Kavis is preparing to do something, the donkeys are spooked and back the cart over him. Everyone laughs. Finally, Kavis frees himself and throws an unlit flask at the barricade. Hammar casts sacred flame and inginte the flask as it burst upon the barricade. A few Kobolds are fried in the process. Gubikla finishes off a Kobolds as it attempts to run away.
With the barricade burned down, the party proceeds down the tunnel. They come upon a cavern that is large in size. There are about 16 or so Kobolds in the middle of this cavern, in formation, waiting to attack. There is a larger Kobold leader in the back of the formation giving orders. Othello fires his balista and pierces a couple of pike armed Kobolds. Cloverdung, who has light cast on his ass from Hammar, shoves his ass inside the dragon head and faces the Kobolds. Next, Cloverdung pulls out his shield and uses the magic ability within it to fly. As Cloverdung is soaring over the Kobolds, he speaks in draconic “You will all die!” A couple of the Kobolds freak and start running. The other Kobolds press their attack. Gubikla scorches a few. Kavis decides to disguise himself as a Kobold. Hammar uses his spiritual weapon to conk a few on the head, while Othello kills more. Cloverdung, now at the back of the Kobolds formation climbs out of the dragon’s head and kills the Kobold leader. Hammar decides his spiritual hammer is not enough, so he takes out a smallberry and tosses it at the Kobolds. The smallberry grows to a large boulder and it begins to roll around the edge of the circlular shaped room, crushing Kobolds along the way. Cloverdung decides to search the dead Kobold leader, just in case. The Kobolds are finally killed off, by weapon, spell, or boulder. Luckily, no one attempts to attack Kavis as he appears to look like a Kobold. The party beigns to ransack the bodies in search of loot; at which point Kavis loses his disguise in order to gain booty.
With every Kobold searched and searched, the party proceeds on through the cavern and tunnel. Eventually, the tunnel opens to the outside, and the sunshine is bright on the faces of our heroes. The group decides to head back to the path the used to get to the mountain and go back to the village on the lake.
While proceeding down the walkway, someone sees a small black speck in the sky. As they watch the speck, it grows closer and closer until it can be seen as a black dragon flying around, looking for something to eat. With marshes on both sides of the walkway, Cloverdung lies down. Partly covered by water, but still able to watch the sky while holding his bow. Kavis jumps to one side as well. The others stay in the cart on the walkway. As the dragon swoops down over the cart, his head-on approach aligns his breath perfectly for maximum contact with the group. The acid that is spewed from it’s mouth kills the donkeys immediatley. Almost kills Gubikla and hurts Othello and Hammar. It is then decided that a different approach is needed to defend ourselves. Cloverdung looses a couple of arrows at the fly-by attack and connects. Using some+2 arrows helped and actually cause some damage. Othello climbs under the cart while Kavis misses the beast with his ax. Hammar gives everyone Aids. Cloverdung and Gubikla do some more damage to the beast as it is circling around for another pass. The black dragon then swoops down and grabs one of the dead donkeys. He has decided that this is enough fighting and should just move on with his dinner. As he flys away to the East, everyone lets out a sigh of relief. Except for Othello, who wishes to run down this dragon and kill it. However, everyone else just wants to go back to the village by the lake.
With a lot of damage taken, the group decides to stop at the previously burned out lizard man village for the night. After healing and sleeping the group continues on the next morning. Now they are pushing the cart since the donkeys have been killed.
While proceeding down the pathway, a couple of heads poke up out of the water to one side. The group prepares for battle as five frogmen, riding frogs start coming towards them. Kavis jumps off the walkway to attack. As he is sinking in the marsh, he begins to realize that he should have tested the depth first. The others in the party start nailing frogmen and frogs with arrows, bolts, and spells. While some frogmen are dropping, the frogs continue to advance. One frog lashes onto Othello and begins to swallow him whole. This causes the other party members to focus their attacks on that frog and kill it before Othello is digested. Kavis and Gubikla finish off the last frogs to complete our victory.
The party then continues their journey down the walkway towards the pier at the end. Once they arrive at the pier, it is not too long before their barge buddy arrives. He loads them onto the barge and they begin sailing towards the village on the lake.
