Our adventurers return to town with the Paladin’s Pike in tow. Most of them level up and rest, while others just sit at the bar and drink. Othello receives his returning bolts, one with light the other with darness. Gubikla receives an orb that will absorb fire damage, for a limited amount. Cloverdung receives an update to his green rock on a chain necklace (luck charm); the ability to activate it for light and it will also illuminate undead within a 100′ radius in a red glow. Hammar receives something, but mumbles on and on so no one is really sure what he received.

Once the quest items are bestowed, and people reload their adventure packs, the party starts discussing what to do next. There is talk about the green book, a tower off in the distance, and the stream of beer. Finally, Othello talks with dwarf store owner about the green book. He does not know where it is but suggest we talk with the oracles in town.

There are 4 oracles; harmony, mystery, sweetness, and donuts. Hammar walks up to the first orcle and asks where is the green book. The oracle replies that it is higher than he. Cloverdung asks one of the oracles about the funnel they destroyed ontop odf the tower south of town. Turns out, it was a blood terrible. Othello asks one of the oracles in what direction is the green book. It is north of us. Gubikla asks the last oracle how far away is the green book. It is a few days travel.

So, with answers in hand, although asking better questions would have helped, the group heads out north. As they are traveling along the not-used-too-much-road, they see a structure around the mounds the party had raided a few months ago. Upon closer inspection, there can be seen a walled structure, with towers, built around the mounds. It appears to be occupied by orcs and goblins. The party observes for a few hours and waits for sundown. With 9 towers, 2 orcs in each, the party estimates there cannot be more than 40 or so bad guys.

Once the sun goes down, Othello sneaks around the back of the fort. Shortly afterwards, Cloverdung sneaks toward the side, within long bow range. Gubikla and Hammar wait atop the hill and observe. As Othello sneaks closer to the wall, Cloverdung fires his bow and takes out one of the orcs on watch in a tower. 39 more, or so, to go. Othello reaches the back wall while Cloverdung takes out another orc. Othello reaches the top of the wall and sees the interior filled with a few buildings, some orcs, and several goblins and wargs milling around. Cloverdung decides to take out another orc. Othello is able to take out the two orcs in the tower next to him as well. When Cloverdung tries to take out one more orc, but does no kill him in one shot. The fort is made away of attackers. Hammar and Gubikla decide to chug their beer and finally head down the hill towards the fort. Othello sees a group of wargs and goblins mounting up to head out to investiagte. Cloverdung can hear the front gate opening and an orc inside telling the goblins to find and kill what is out there. In anticipation of chargig wargs, Cloverdung cast Spiked Growth to his left, from where the wargs will likely come. Othello makes his way into a tower and starts killing the orcs in the tall, middle tower. Cloverdung continues to pick off orcs in the perimeter towers. As Hammar and Gubikla reach Cloverdung, a group of wargs and goblins come charging in for the attack. However, they are met with damage from the concealed spiked growth and a couple of the wargs and goblins rush to their death. Gubikla releases a lightning bolt to take out a few more wargs and goblins. The surviving goblins and wargs begin attacking Hammar and Cloverdung. As that melee is happening, Othello is winning the battle against the orcs in the tall tower. Othello is almost struck by their balista but manages to avoid it. A second group of wargs and goblins are sent out from the fort, but instead of attacking us they decide to run away north. Hammar, Cloverdung, and Gubikla kill off the last wargs and goblins while Othello enters the fort courtyard. Othello find a small formation of orcs in the center headed his way. As the orcs begin to approach, Cloverdung and Gubikla have made their way to the top of the wall. Hammar decides to fall into a pit-trap as he advanced to the wall. Cloverdung, Gubikla, and Othello fire on the orc formation and then kill off the orcs in melee. Hammar makes the wall and also kills off a couple of orcs, after crashing through the roof of the barn.

With all the seen enemy dead, party member spread out to search the various buildings. Hammar stops at the smithy and finds nothing. Cloverdung begins to hack away at a straw hut, finally getting in through the hole he has created. Othello finds a building on top of the main mound, with its door locked. Cloverdung finds a couple of chests in the small straw hut and busts them open. Avoiding the dangerous powder in one of the chests he loots some valuables. Be a sharing person, Cloverdung then tells the others about the chests so they can get some loot as well.

Othello opens to the door to the building upon the mound and notices a stairway down to the entrance to the tombs at the bottom. Before proceeding down, the party decides to rest up in hopes Kavis can join up.
