They party gathers up gems, scrolls, potions, rocks, and pots that survived the fireballs.  Hammar scenes something coming up the hall and looks up to see a giant rat in a hamster ball rolling down the hallway.  It stops just before it gets to the room and spits out a seed that arcs through an opening in the ball and lands right at the transition of the hall and the room.  The seed burrows itself into the group.  The Rat hightails it back.  As Gublika is a forest gnome he tries to speak to it and just gets something like it grumbling to itself..  Hammar cast sacred flame and Gublika cast magic missile at it as it leaves.  At least a few get through as the  party hears it cry out in pain just before it get teleported away.  Meanwhile the seed rumbling and started growing into a crystal fanning out in a sheet spreading across the passageway.  Othello decides to check to see if there are any secret door in the room in case the party needs another way out.  The rest of the party start attacking the crystal sheet.  Once the sheet gets fairly big it looks like someone is trying to use it as projection interface.  Who ever it is that is trying to communicate is breaking up badly and sounds like he is getting a lot of feedback from the party pounding on it.  You can tell he is getting frustrated and gets a little upset as the the party shatters the crystal sheet.  The pary picks up chunks of crystal.

Now that the hallway is clear again.  Othello and Hammar head down the a hallway to investigate the cave-in/rubble in the hallway due west.  Othello looks at the rubble and at first thinks it is really deep, but on closer inspection it may be shallower than he first thought.  Hammar leans in to listen to see if he can’t hear anything on the other side.  That is when the Umber Hulk grabs him and pulls him into the rubble.  Hammar gets about waist deep before getting stuck.  Bone stabs his sword into the rubble aiming for the creature and apparently doing a good job, as the Umber hulk sticks its head out. Othello was not ready for this and look into the Umber Hulks four eyes and is confused / hypnotized and start heading back down the hallway toward the intersection.  Mighty takes Bones lead and pokes his axe into the rubble injuring the Umber Hulk.  Gublika cast grease at it and Pete cast guiding bolt.  The grease make the Umber Hulk loose its grip on Hammar and Hammar is able to free himself.  Othello heads around the corner and comes to his senses.  But being already around the corner he gets the idea of maybe flanking the Umber Hulk through the old cave the previous Umber Hulks made.  The rest of the party continues to strike at the beast and it starts retreating into the cave.  Bone and the others pursue it.  Othello enters the cave from the hole in the floor in the other hallway and head to the battle and encounters the Umber Hulk.  This time the Umber Hulk’s eyes have no affect on Othello, which allows Othello to shoot and finish off the beast.

The party head back up the stairs past the mechanical bear room to the four way intersection with the three hallways leading to doors with Dwarven carving on door frames.  One says treasury. One says armoury, and the other says alchemy.  Pete cast detect trap down the norther hallway and it is trapped as well as the door.  Othello is able to find and disarm the traps and tries to open the door, only to realise that it is a fake door.  The party moves on the the armoury hallway and it is the same.  But this time Gublika has to cast knock on the door to try and open it.  Moving on the southern hallway Pete cast dispel magic that clears the hallway of traps.  Othello find the door a fake as well.  Frustrated the party gets ready to leave when Othello searches the floor of the four way intersection and finds a trap door that has not been use in a really long time.  The trap door leads to  shaft straight down that goes for a least 100 feet.  At this point the party say it is time to go back to town and level up and pick up a few things from town.  Othello closes the trap door and Gublika teleports the party back to the Fishing Bear Inn.
