Adventure 96 – Siege of Wyntbridge – Western gate: Gnolls.

Will Kavis really find his mom on the schooner?

The party make it to the west gate and talk to the city guard.  The few in the courtyard were hoping they we were there to relieve them.  Othello heads up the right side gate tower and talks one of the deputies.  Mainly they have been hiding from the arrows being shot.  There is a priest of Diancecht that heals Tetranac and Mightychondria.  Tetranac then heads over to the wall tower over one.  The other gate tower holds Bone and Gubikla, plus a few guard.  Talin and Hammar hold at the base of the gate.  Othello takes a shoulder goon shot at the Tiefling on the large schooner as their army forms up into several chevrons of archers with several lines that hold ladders.  The shot kills a minor Gnoll as the Tiefling seems to turn at the right moments.  The lines advance on the wall with a giant gnoll in each line jumping halfway up and sinking the claws into the wall and then leaping up the rest of the way.  Tetranac unleashes a hord of exploding arrows at the group heading toward him.  The Large Gnoll seems to shake the damage off, but several gnoll fall only to be replaced with others.  Bone start to attack the gnolls coming over the wall with his sword, but misses so he switches over to his axe.  Othello manages to blow off the large gnoll on his tower with thunder kick blast.  Tetranac was not as lucky as he tries to jump off the tower but the large gnoll grabs his foot.  Hammar goes up a tower to help fight the gnolls.  After driving the back on the the wall Mightychondria throws some ball bearings out and knocks off a few, but knocks off Hammar as well.  Talin is hanging out below and kills any gnolls that survived the fall. Bone started having critical blows and getting taken over by the axe’s blood thirst.  He started heading south down the wall killing gnoll and guards alike. Taking out two large gnolls on the way.  Gubikla was fighting for control of the air elemental the gnoll army brought along.  At one point the air elemental broke free and sweeped inside and killed the few guards waiting in the courtyard and then heading to the tower where Othello was.  Pete and Mightychondria held fast but Othello gets blown south and lands outside the wall.  But due to his boots creates havik on the gnoll and ladder.  He then shoots north the next group of gnoll with a ladder.  Tetranac after getting tossed into the courtyard gets saved by the priest and draws Talin over to help defend him against the gnoll falling or jumping into the courtyard.  With a large gnoll jumping down in pursuit manages to knock Tetranac out before meeting his death.  The large gnoll fell on Tetranc where he manages to come to but deciece to stay hidden while he heals himself.  The gnolls managed to rais the porticlips before Bone makes his way back to kill them.  Bone is now only sees and hears beating hearts and seems to want them to be quite.   The party manages to kill of the last few gnolls and take back control of the air elemental.  With the schooners and Bone left to deal with.  What will the party end up doing.

COD = Bone for becoming a killing machine.  Hopefully he won’t stay this way.
