Did Kavis & Cloverdung team up and following another of Boris’ missions?

The party follow the bend in the hallway to a arched opening with Dwarven writing that say “Stairway to Heaven”  On the backside is a serpent eating its own tail. With Tetranac casting detect magic we find that the archway is magical as well as the 5th, 7th, and 11th steps going down beyond the archway.Othello disarms the archway and steps on the second step and it rotates down under his weight, but nothing happens.  So he teleports himself down to the bottom where it the platform goes out on either side and a new set of stairs start down. Othello notices a blurry hays in front of the wall. With Othello at the base of the first stairs, he notices that it is a metal plate and starts hearing a bell like pattern. He heads to the right and test the first stair when I lightning bolt shoots up the main staircase from the metal plate.

Talin get Tetranac to tie a rope around himself and levitate as Talin throws him down the stairs.  He makes it about half way. But with the lighting bolt Talin tries to jump down part of the stairs and fails and rolls down setting off traps left and right.  Blades swing across the stairs, stairs spring out, and spells go off. This leaves Talin not quite half way down the stairs but feeling like he went through a automated forge.   With this it is determined that Hammar can activate his cape and fly dragging Tetranac down to the stair Othello is standing on, after collecting a helm, a short sword, and a dagger..  Hammar picks up Othello and sends him over to the wall to see if he can deactivate the lighting trap. He sees three serpents holding three colored gems in their mouths and they get light up as the bell tones pattern is being sounded.  He fails to dislodge a gem before the last pattern starts and he leaves the area before the lighting bolts is released. They then decide to skip this trap and go get Talin and Bone with a tenser’s floating disc. They all make it to the bottom of the stairs that lead of to the right and are standing in a pile of bones.

There is a great door with three spinning dials as locks that need to be done within a given time.  Then two large levers need to be pulled on left and right side of the door. Bone finds a ring that has spikes embedded in it that hold it to a skeleton finger.  Othello tries to unlock the door and slips on the first dial and a flame blast is omitted from the door. He unlocks the three dials with a five, seven, and eleven and gets Bone and Talin to pull the levers to open the door.

It swings open revealing a rough cavern that opens up at the end where a stone sarcophagus sits with what looks like piles of gold piled around it.  Bone, Talin, and Othello advance. As the get next to the piles of gold it appears to be moving around and it turns out that its is a giant serpent uncoiling from the around the sarcophagus. With Othello standing on the sarcophagus after teleporting above it and trying to break open the lid.  He did not make the height that he wanted so he only cracked it. But now he finds himself face to face with the snake that now has bit him with a poisonse bit. Decides to teleport and hide to regroup. Bone and Talin attack the serpent and Talin even cast a ring of fire across it.

Meanwhile something invisible manages to push Tetranac out of the way and close the door.  After taking out Teteranac it starts attacking Hammar. It happens to be two invisible beast.   Hammar manages to strike the one in front of him while healing Tetranac enough for him to become conscious and heal himself some more.

Bone cuts the serpent’s head off but it transforms into a centipede like creature.  But is eventually is defeated and it turns to ash. With Tetranac functioning he cast fairy fire allowing the party to focus on killing the invisible creatures.

Talin pushes the lid of the sarcophagus and their appears to be the remains of a elven woman with a staff and a amulet.  He pulls the amulet off and give it to Hammar. Tetranac picks up the staff as Othello is searching for secret compartments.  At this the center of the cavern opens up and lava starts to flow out.

COD = Talin for trying to cannon ball his way down the stairs.
