Adventure 117 – A treat to Stormvail & Icevail

The party teleport back to town and find it a flooded state of caos with all the refugees that have made it to Wyntbridge.  On investigating the happenings of the town they found they have been gone for several weeks when they think it has only been a few days.  They find that Highvail has fallen to a great white worm and some other abominations. There is a meeting with the leaders of the city later that day.

After visiting the Brombin and Grelinda in the temple district they pick up a few supplies and head to the meeting.  At the meeting are representatives from Highvail, Deephold, Stormvail, Icevail, and of course Wyntbridge. Stormvail and Icevail are asking for aid to help them defend the cities from the giants and dragons that are now threatening their land.  The question is if aid is given how should it be given and to whom. After much discussion it is decided that main party will head up and see if we can’t retake Highvail in a attempt to slit the army in two and let a smaller group defend and push back the intruders threatening Stormvial.  This way they can use the city as the base of operations to retake Deephold. The band of adventures will teleport into Highvail and try to do a critical sneak attack on the dragon and the army that is hold up there. If possible clearing a path to the pass to allow the southern army to enter the city with little to no casualties.   

When leaving the meeting Boros shows up and cuts off Tetrenacs arm that is holding the staff.  He does not answer many questions but does not oppose us in our plain to retake Highvail. He does say that it does seem we have delayed the enemies attack.  So it would seem we have a few days before we have to head out.

Though other inquiries we find that they are sending a tax collector and some inquisitors from Djabalja to Wyntbridge.  The inquisitors seem a little odd to be sending during this time of need.
