Adventure 46

Hammar – Dwarf:  Cleric
Othello – Gnome:  Thief
Gubikla – Gnome: Magic User
Bone – Human: Fighter
Vailra – Goliath: Fighter
Joe – Tiefling: Warlock
Loseaturn – Dragonborn: Paladin

Cloverdung we think is lost in the woods.

The party kills a few Hobgoblin then surveys the cavern and vaguely remembers the area.   Vailra and Othello head off to the east passageway.  Hammer thinks the way forward was to the west so he heads that way.  Gubikla and Bone venture a little farther down the cavern where it narrows down to a passageway heading south.  The passageway to the east ends quickly in a collapsed cavern.  Hammar thinks he sees something in the west passageway and go to investigate.  He ends up getting attacked by a invisible beast.  Othello, Bone, quickly make there way into find out what the ruckus is and help if needed.  Vailra, J, Gubikla, and Loseaturn are not real concerned but start heading that way.  Hammar is frantically swinging his hammer through the air trying to hit the invisible beast. Bone figures out what is going on quickly and goes into help kill the beast.  Othello shoots into the open area but misses anything that was there.  He does notice Hammar getting hit by something.  Hammar is not looking to be in good shape at this time.  Vailra shows up just in time to see Hammar disappear opening up just enough room for her to head into the battle.  Unfortunately she did not realize that Othello had used his invisibility wand to try to help out Hammar.  After Vailra runs into Hammar and luckily missed stabbing her sword into his back figures out he is still there and yanks him out of the way.  The rest of the party gets there but really does not have an opening.  But Gubikla cast Magic Missile as it does not require direct line of site.  The party finally kill the invisible beast and determine that this passageway is a dead end as well.

The party then heads south to the only known way that leads deeper into cavern.  The party fights a few more Hobgoblins and then comes across a chamber with glowing red pools.  As the party gets closer they quickly realize that the pools are really some type of lava mephit.  After an intense battle, the party is able to vanquish the mephits.  The group heads deeper into the cavern and reach a large chamber with multiple stalactites and stalagmites.
