Adventure 124 – Clearing of the pass

Talin – Dwarf: Fighter (lvl 12) + Cleric (lvl 2)
Othello – Gnome:  Thief (lvl 15)
Bone – Human: Fighter (lvl 15)
Gubikla – Gnome: Wizard (lvl 14)
Hammar – Dwarf: Cleric (lvl 12)
Tetranac – Drow: Ranger (lvl 11)

Is Cloverdung teaming up with the white supremacy dragonborn?
Is Kavis causing the avalanche that crushed the center wall?

The courtyard was empty leading up to the middle wall battlements, with the exception of the rouble and debry caused by the explosion.  The party advances with Hammar and Talin heading to the short staircase leading to a door to the left side of the inner wall. Earth elemental starts throwing boulders at the main gate in the center.  Othello sneaks across the courtyard and up the wall on the right and Tetranac was flying above the destroyed section of wall.

Gubikla cast a fireball on the top of the left section of wall and then fire bolt once the kobols get closer to the edge of the wall.  Unfortunately one of these bolts hit the earth elemental and make him go mad. It starts to advance and Bone goes along beside it cutting the elemental down as crosses the courtyard.  Bone heads to the staircase door on the right after destroying the elemental. But before the elemental started across the courtyard it pick up Gubikla and threw him at Tetranac. Gubikla managed to grab ahold of Tetranac’s pants to help break his fall.  This unfortunately pantsed Tetranac. But when Gubikla landed he was able to cast redidgitaion to pull Tetranac’s pants backup. Tetranac shot a barrage of arrows killing several Kobolds along the top of the wall. While Talin and Hammar broke in to the left side of the wall.  Bone headed in on the right side. Both sides lead to several rooms that had Kobolds barricaded behind anything they could find. Othello finished killing off the Kobolds he could see on the right and jump/teleported and fell through the trap door. Clearing out the floor near the trap door and then headed down the stairs after the fleeing Kolobos.  Bone killed off the ones he saw in the rooms near him. Talin and Hammar busted down doors after clearing the current room and find another room with tables lined up like a wall. Talin charges in and kills off the ones there. Bone is able to find the machinery to open the portcullises. All open except the first one that seems to be wedged closed. The party then heads out the doors to the north courtyard leading to the outer wall of the pass.  With Tetranac flying over the left side of the central wall.

The northern courtyard has two mastodons on both the left and right side of the courtyard.  On the left side is a Frost Giant while on the left side is a Hill Giant working on a forge.  In the center pathway are six piles of snow. Three on either side. Gubikla starts off with a color spray to the left side.  This causes one mastodon to be paralyzed and it eventually turns to stone. It caused acid damage to the Giant as well as the Mastodon.  He then cast a Fireball on a commander’s strike from Talin. Then Talin cast a fireball from his crown. Hammar goes in to attack the giant.  Bone heads toward the giant on the right catching a anvil to the head. But this does not phase Bone much and chopes the giant down and then switches over to one of the mastodons on the right.  Othello shot one of the Mastodons on the right then teleports to the outer wall on the right after seeing some activity. Finding a white Dragonborn and a group of Kobolds trying to move double loaded multi shot ballista to the other side to shoot into the courtyard.  Othello gets a sneak attack against the dragonborn. But was not very good at hiding afterward and jus waves instead. This causes the Dragonborn to attack Othello but misses with his wand of binding. This turns into a trade off of blows. One of these that Othello uses was a wand of lighting bolt taking out most of the Kolobos group.  The rest of the party clears out the courtyard and Gubikla was able to clear out the left side of the wall. Tetranac had gotten shot by the Dragonborn on the left dropped to the center wall where some Kobolds managed to come out to help but got taken out by the fireballs cast by Gubikla and Talin. Though Hammar managed to heal Tetranac through a mass healing word.  Now that the area is cleared with the rest of the enemy heading down the ramp up to the pass.
