After getting down the hole they find it opens up into a large cavern.  The rock is still the same type as the hole. It seems almost cooked with a phenocrysts type of texture.   There are stalagmite, stalagmites , and stalagwights. These are made out of granite and are not always aligned with its counterpart.  Othello finds some ladder like structure made out of similar material as the lattice work they were putting together in Deep Hold. He puts a couple of sections together and head south where they find the floor drop off about 30 feet.  With a ramp in the center going down. Othello puts the ladder down on the left side of the ramp and sees movement in the distance. He warns the others that are headed down the ramp, before climbing down the ladder. The movement turns out the be the rat or dog like things with tentacles on their heads.  They were grouping up and formed a huge version of one.

The main group consisting of Talin, Bone, Tetranac, and Hammar head down the ramp toward it.  Othello sneaks off to the left and Gubikla hangs back and cast spells at it. Talin and Bone engage in malee.  Swing and taking out individual ones with a slow persistent. Gubikla of course cast a fireball that hurts it but does not seem to slow it down.  Othello sneaks around and does a sneak attack killing one of the individual ones but again does not seem that affected by it. It manages to grab Hammar and suck him into the mass of its body.   Tetranac is shooting arrow like crazy into it. Through this these things don’t seem to be making much impact on it. The party sees a sheet covering some large object behind the great beast. So Othello makes his way over to it and pulls the sheet off revealing a statue of some bat like creature.  He strikes the statue. This draws the attention of the beast that comes over and ends up throwing Othello at Gubikla who is now flying to avoid a few of the individual creatures that it shot out of its hand like a rocket fist. Othello manages to hit Gubikla with his boots and bouncing off into the side wall.

The group seems to be starting to kill off enough to the individuals that the great beast is starting to shrink.  At the same time they realize that the stature will absorb any spell cast at it. Supposedly to awaken it? Othello tries to use boots to damage the statue but scerts it and the beast doing some damage to both but also getting in rage for the beast to pick him up and throw him again hitting Gubikla.  This time it was head first. This made Gubikla lose his concentration and fall. Hammar managed to escape and was beating on the statue along with Bone. This finally caused enough damage to brake the statue. When this happened the beast fell apart and the individuals scattered throughout the cavern.

COD = Othello for getting thrown twice into Gubikla.
